FREDERICK AUGUSTUS COE, b. at New Hartford, NY, Oct. 22, 1816, graduated at Yale College, A.B., 1837, and was a distinguished and very successful lawyer in New York City. From a lucrative practice he acquired a large fortune and made extensive investments in real estate in New York City. In his later years he resided in a beautiful estate at Yonkers, NY, and d. Jan. 9, 1870.
He m. Aug. 16, 1841, Anne Eliza Mitchell, b. Oct. 28, 1818, daughter of Minot and Eliza Leeds (Silliman) Mitchell of White Plains, NY.
