Mildred E. (Millie) Latta
With heartfelt sadness, the family of Mildred E. (Millie) Latta (nee Gignac) announces the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and dear friend on April 16th 2012.
Millie was born in Windsor Ontario, Canada and became an American citizen at the age of 18.
In 1950 she married William H. Latta. In 1971 they moved to Mesa Arizona from Grosse Isle Michigan.
Predeceased by her husband William (1999) and daughter Gail Pollock (2008) and her parents and 5 brothers and sisters.
Survived by her son Dr. William J. Latta (Mary Ann) and Melinda Latta-Roberts (Herb) and son-in-law Bob Pollock, 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday 4-19-12 from 2 to 4 p.m. with a vigil service at 4 p.m. at Camino Del Sol Funeral Chapel, 13738 W. Camino Del Sol, Sun City West, Az. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday 4-20-12 at 10 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 17111 W. Bell Rd. Surprise, Az. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Arizona or The Humane Society of Arizona.
