Ida Mary (Mae?) (Howland) Brown Burgess was born in 1883 to Wilbur and Phebe Ann (Coney) Howland. She died in 1959.

Ida is believed to be descended from a brother of Mayflower Passenger John Howland, which brother arrived in Plymouth, MA, from England on a later ship. Ida was also descended from Mayflower Passenger Capt. Myles Standish, via the marriage of one of her Howland ancestors to a granddaughter of Myles Standish.

Ida was married twice, 1st to James Ernest Brown (1879 - 1948), and 2nd to Lee Charles Burgess.

Ida and James Ernest Brown had the following 4 children:

Donald Sylvester (1897 - 1983)
(buried Center Lisle (NY) Cemetery)
Wilbur W. (1900 - 1970)
Cecile A., born 1904
Wayland James (Oct. 28, 1904 - May 21, 1975)

Ida and James were Separated (but still married; she and children were living with her parents) by 1910 (US Census), and divorced sometime before 1912, as she had remarried in 1912 according to Ancestry.com, and was married & living with her 2nd husband, Lee Charles Burgess in 1915, according to 1915 NY State Census.

Ida had an additional child, Wanda M. Burgess, in 1918, according to 1920 US Federal Census.

Ida is buried with her 2nd husband Lee Charles Burgess, in Center Lisle Cemetery, Center Lisle, New York.
