OBITUARY
NOWAK - Joseph Age 92 of Williamsville and formerly of the City of Tonawanda and North Tonawanda, unexpectedly September 27, 2017 at his residence. Husband of Rose G. (nee Beringer) Nowak who died in 2016; beloved father of Janie (Andrew) Ziemba; loving grandfather of Christopher (Lauren) Ziemba and Matthew Ziemba; son of the late Joseph and Mary Nowak; brother of Josephine (late Peter) Mazur and the late Stella, Sally, Jenny and Frank. Joseph was a US Navy veteran serving during World War II. He retired as Vice President of Gibraltar Steel Corp. and afterward worked part-time for Williamsville Central Schools. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, October 5 from 5-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan and Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda. A Prayer Service will be held Friday at 1:00 PM in St. Francis of Assisi Chapel, 71 Adam St., Tonawanda. Everyone welcome. Entombment will follow the service in St. Francis Chapel. Flowers gratefully declined.
