Obituary

Anthony E. Hubert. 78. retired supervisor of the machine shop at Barcalo Manufacturing Co., died yesterday at his home, 76 Reiman St., after a six-week illness.

Born in Germany, he came here as an infant. He attended St. Vincent de Paul School.

An employe of Barcalo for 50 years, he retired 13 years ago He had been supervisor for 20 years. He and his wife, the former Odelia Steinmetz, observed their 50th wedding anniversary in 1951. She survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Joseph E., Frank J. and Jerome C. Hubert: five daughters, Mrs. Mae Westra, Mrs. Leona Hagen, Mrs. Amelia Kuehler, Mrs. Florine Conrad, all of Buffalo, and Mrs. Blanche Klein of Lancaster; two brothers, Joseph of Buffalo and John Huber of Hornell; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Pfohman, Mrs. John Ahrens and Mrs. William Markwart ; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Prayers will be said at 8 Monday morning at the Frank J. Knab Funeral Home. 1213 Loveioy St., and a Requiem Mass will be sung at 9 at St. Agnes Church. Burial will he in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
