Donald Francis Hubert age 82 of Lilburn, GA passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, daughter and son-in-law, six grandchildren, great granddaughter, brother, sister, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Edward and Frances (Woszniak) Hubert and daughter, Wendy Hubert King.

Mr. Hubert was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. At McKinley Vocational School he played baseball and softball and later played in recreational leagues and was an accomplished bowler. He was active in the C.W.A. Cable Workers of America and, during his career in the cable industry, he worked for Western Electric, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies. After his retirement he worked as a volunteer for Lilburn Co-operative ministries, Toys for Tots, and played Santa Claus at the VA Hospital and area schools.

He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church of Lilburn since 1984 and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a fan of the theatre, old movies and the Atlanta Braves.

The Funeral Mass to Honor and Celebrate the life of Don Hubert will be held Monday, June 6, 2016 at 11AM at St. John Neumann Catholic in Lilburn, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 4, 2016 and Sunday June 5, 2016 from 2:00PM until 4:00PM and 6:00PM until 8:00 PM. A Rosary service will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 7:00PM at the funeral home.
