Bridget was baptized 11 Mar 1561/2 in Shalford, Essex, England, daughter of William Allgar. As is common during this period, the mother's name was not recorded in the parish register. There does not appear to be any evidence that Bridget's mother was the "Margaret Parye" or "Margaret Payre" whose name is spread far and wide across the internet. As of now, Margaret's maiden name is unknown.

Some errant person put forth the notion that Bridget (Allgar) White died 24 Jun 1605 at Shalford, but this is wholly erroneous. In his will of May 1617, Robert White specified, "Item: all the rest of my goods unbequeathed I give and bequeathe unto my wife Bridgett White and to my sonne Daniell White whom I constitute and ordayne the ioynte executors of this my last will and testament..."

Bridget (Brydgette) (Algar) White died sometime after 9 June 1623. She must have been alive then because on that date her son Nathaniel White of Feering, Essex left her in his will an annuity of ten pounds
